These tracks are experiments I recorded during 2009-2010 before moving to Chicago. This cassette was released under the moniker "meme" but we all know that's a silly name here in 2017, so I'll use my real name instead. The artwork is different for each cassette, I used 4x4" squares cut from National Geographic to replace the j-card. Analog fetish, zero computer. Many of these tracks were reworked into Courtesy's album Idmatic.

Influenced by producers J Dilla and Flying Lotus, Jaw Gems make loosely improvised songs that are equally vibrant and nomadic. Their new album is remarkably carefree, but they wanted it that way. Bandcamp Album of the Day Aug 30, 2016
